In ep 1 of Dreams and Wings, to keep the show flowing and to get the show down to length, I had to cut out a huge section where Searcher explores the remains of the rest of the underground lab/facility. If you’ll listen, when he’s in the elevator shaft, you’ll here the line "he finds another elevator door blocked with rubble." Thats where he found way more stuff to explore. Also I had like 5 minutes of introspection that I had to cut out of the elevator climing sequence. Speaking of cut out stuff. For length sake, I also had to cut out a dream sequence between the creature with the mask of stars and when he wakes up in the lab. The CMS part is existential enough, adding another layer of abstraction was asking too much of the listeners at this time. I’ll use the sequence someplace else. I also had to cut out a scene that introduces "virtual reality" to Searcher. He’s seen "augmented reality" where the suit overlays his real world view with graphs and stuff to help him. But the suits "virtual reality" system is like the holodeck on the enterprise, indistinguishable from the real world. I don’t think I’ll have time in ep 4 to add it either, so it will have to wait until the next story (Searcher and Stallion: "Pawn Maneuvers")
